Run & Rule

Run & Rule is a competitive running app helping the world to become healthy and active. The app uses a fun visual UI experience to promote rewarding a healthy lifestyle through competitive gamification for all fitness levels. The app includes membership features, personal/friend/user profiles, geolocation neighborhood rule recognition, rule activity selection (walk, run, bicycle), news, user-level stats, competitions, and badge rewards.

Personas and journeys

From the 9 to 5 working-class citizens, to the competitive fitness fanatics, the app's user journey is mapped around a broad range of personas focussing on simplicity and a fun enjoyable user experience.

Run and Rule - Run tracking

Participants begin by selecting their activity type and accompanying music. Once started the counter begins its work tracking the user's GPS trail, time, speed, distance, and calories burnt. Once stopped the activity is complete! The app displays the activity tracked along with rewards including individual and group data-driven achievements.

Run and Rule - Friends profile

Individuals have personal profiles displaying one's Run & Rule activity. Here they can add friends, message and track friends, invite friends to an activity, begin a group activity with friends, and even challenge a friend.

Run and Rule - News

The news feed works by keeping participants up to date with related articles, upcoming events, app releases, and user-related notifications (friend requests, new achievements, messages, etc.).
